E-bike range estimator
Tell us how you ride. We'll estimate realistic range for every bike — and show how far below the brand's claim it lands.
How we estimate
We model energy use in watt-hours per mile. It starts from typical real-world consumption for the assist level, then scales for speed (air resistance rises steeply above 20 mph), total weight (you + cargo + bike), terrain, fat tires and drive type (mid-drives use energy a little more efficiently). We assume you can use about 90% of the battery, and cold weather reduces usable capacity by about 20%. Bikes that can't exceed 20 mph are capped at 20. Results are estimates, shown as a ±15% band — wind, tire pressure, stops and battery age all move real range.
